Tenacibaculosis is primarily a skin infection causing ulcerative dermatitis in a range of commercially important species worldwide. Caligus rogercresseyi is a predominant parasitic problem in the salmonid industry in Chile. It mainly affects Atlantic salmon and Rainbow trout.
